Professor Daniel Smith has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 1992's, training with some of the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructors in the world. This program will cover the true art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the more important part of self-defense using Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo and JKD Grappling. Students will learn positions, submissions, escapes, and counters, as well as how this art can be applied in the real world. Not only is this class a great way to get into shape, but it is a very good form of self-defesne for both men and especially for women. And for those students interested in competing, you can join our BJJ competition team.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu /Judo / JKD Grappling
The noble art of France meaning, "Old Shoe", is a contact sport requiring dexterity and precision. Students will use their hands and feet to make contact with a partner who is in constant motion. This requires "Agility" to execute quick and coordinated movements, "Flexibility", to properly combine the movements, and "Good Reflexes", to react quickly to your partner who is also trying to make contact with you. This class will offer an awesome array of kicking and punching skills with a great aerobic workout along with improved flexibility and balance. Students will be tested for rank directly under Professor Salem Assli, President of the California Association of Boxe Fransaise Savate. Equipment required for class is wrestling shoes and boxing gloves.
Wing Chun is really a masterpiece in martial arts. In fact, Wing Chun, which is so well organized, together with it's nicely designed structure, has reached the acme of perfection. Wing Chun is a perfect martial arts for close range self-defense and trapping skills.
Boxing is a wonderful way to get in shape, build confidence, and relieve stress. Boxing is a blend of cardio and technical skill-building, that is tailored to your individual fitness level. Whether you're an experienced boxer or simply curious about the sport, the Art of Boxing has something for you!

Zumba is a dance fitness program created by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto "Beto" Perez during the 1990s. Zumba involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba's choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo. Squats and lunges are also included.
Instructor Beverly Hague holds classes on Monday and Tuesday from 6:30pm to 7:15pm and Saturdays 9:00am to 9:45am. Cost $5.00
Instructor Georgia Boblitz holds class on Thursday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Cost $6.00
Globo Flow is a gentle three-dimensional movement therapy program that focuses on functioanl flexibility, an interdependent integration of balance, agility, joint stability, relaxation, mobility, and muscular control. Its goal is to expand your natural movement potential by increasing the effective activation of your "core muscles", allowing lubricatin of the joints through movement, teaching you to move with the appropriate tension / relaxation ratio, and assisting with musculoskeletal realignment.
Globo Flow primary aim is to cure the disease of the "sitting society". Often labeled, Upper-cross syndrome, it is caused by chronic bad posture. It is identified by rounded shoulders, forward head position and an apparent curve in the neck and upper back. It is a condition routinely suffered by the elderly, but it is now common in office workers, students, drivers and even athletes.
Ajarn Daniel Smith has been training in Muay Thai since 1990 under Ajarn Chai Sirisute, President of the World Thai Boxing Association. Classes are a blend of Muay Thai Kickboxing and Boxing, offering intense workouts and conditioning. Students are able to advance through seven levels to reach the rank of instructor in Muay Thai under Ajarn Smith as well as being ranked in the World Thai Boxing Association. No matter if you want to train in kickboxing to get into shape and learn self-defense or be part of our Kickboxing competition team this class is for you!
Boxe Fransaise Savate Kickboxing
Head Instructor Daniel Smith feels very strongly about women’s self-defense and has spent his whole career researching and teaching this program to women all over Michigan as well as at Michigan State University. Mr. Smith has put together a program that not only teaches you the best strategies for women in a self-defense situation, but will also offer you training in awareness, confidence as well as the emotional aspects for survival. This class will improve your strength and conditioning to develop the extreme warrior in you. Open to all females ages 13 years and older. Don’t be a victim, be a survivor!!
